📅 Booking, Cancellation, and Reschedule Policies

To ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience, please familiarize yourself with JCenteno Photography, LLC’s key booking and service policies.

💰 Retainer Fee and Payment

  • Non-Refundable Retainer: A non-refundable retainer fee (as specified in your contract) is required at the time of booking to secure and hold your session date. This fee compensates JCenteno Photography, LLC for the lost opportunity to book another client and is applied directly to the total cost of your package.
  • Final Payment: The remaining balance of the session fee is due seven (7) days before the scheduled session date.

Cancellations

  • Cancellation Outside of 3 Days: If the Client cancels with more than three (3) days notice, all monies paid will be refunded, excluding the non-refundable Retainer Fee.
  • Cancellation Within 3 Days: If the Client cancels within three (3) days of the Session Date, the full Session Fee is due and payable immediately. The Client agrees that this amount represents liquidated damages—a reasonable estimate of the lost income and costs incurred by the Photographer for the late cancellation.
  • No-Show: If the Client fails to attend the scheduled session (a “No-Show”), the full session fee is required and no refund or reschedule credit will be provided.

🔄 Rescheduling

  • Complimentary Reschedule: The Client is permitted one (1) complimentary reschedule for non-emergency reasons, provided that notice is given at least 72 hours (3 days) prior to the Session Date.
    • The rescheduled date must be mutually agreed upon based on the Photographer’s current availability and must take place within 60 days of the original Session Date.
  • Additional Reschedules: Any request for rescheduling after the first complimentary change, or without the minimum 72-hour notice, will incur a $100 rescheduling fee per occurrence, in addition to the original Session Fee.

⛈️ Weather and Force Majeure

  • Weather: The Photographer reserves the right to reschedule the session due to inclement or unsuitable weather conditions that would negatively impact the quality of the final images. In this event, no rescheduling fee will apply.
  • Force Majeure: In the event the Photographer cannot perform the Session due to an Act of God, fire, flood, public health crisis, or other cause beyond the parties’ control, the Photographer’s liability is limited to applying all paid amounts toward a rescheduled Session or, at the Photographer’s discretion, refunding all monies paid, excluding the non-refundable Retainer Fee.

⚠️ Client Risk & Liability

  • Client acknowledges that participating in a photography session involves inherent risks and hazards. Client agrees that they and all participants attend the Session at their own risk and hereby fully and forever release and hold harmless JCenteno Photography, LLC from any and all liability, claims, or damages for personal injury, property damage, or loss that may occur before, during, or after the Session.

⏱️ Mini Sessions

All other terms mentioned above also apply to Mini Sessions except Cancellations and Reschedules

  • Because Mini Sessions are available on a limited basis, all Mini Session bookings are final and non-refundable. They cannot be rescheduled to another date or time.
  • If you are unable to attend your Mini Session, however, you are welcome to gift or re-sell it to a friend or family member. In this case, the client should notify JCenteno Photography, LLC with the name and contact information of the friend or family member.

Please Note: The terms above are a summarized overview. The specific, legally-binding terms and conditions will be fully outlined in your personalized photography service contract which you must sign prior to booking.
